The 1090
is a mid-range instrument offering a wider range of particle size measurements. With two lasers and CILAS’ multi-wavelength optical architecture, this instrument gives you a measurement range from 0.04 to 500 µm in wet or dry mode.

CILAS Laser particle size instrument

Dual wavelength architecture
The 1090 uses two lasers in order to cover a wider range of particle sizes. CILAS’ unique design places the second laser at a 45 degree angle to extend the range without increasing the size of the instrument.

Permanently aligned optical system
All optical components are fixed on a cast iron baseplate. There is no need to realign the system or change the lens during or between acquisitions as done in competitive systems. Our permanently aligned optics guarantee extremely accurate and reproducible particle size measurements.

The right choice for laboratory and research applications
This mid-range instrument is focussed on laboratory and industrial applications where very small to medium size particle analysis is required.

Integrated dispersion systems with fast change from wet to dry mode
There is no need to swap hardware when switching from wet to dry mode. The change can be made in software with just the click of a mouse.

Compliant with ISO 13320 and 21 CFR–Part 11
All CILAS systems comply with the ISO 13320 standard for particle size analyzers and with 21 CFR-Part 11 for pharmaceutical applications.
